This Privacy Policy describes how StockAI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you install and use our Shopify application.
1. Information We Collect
When you install StockAI, we access and store the following data from your Shopify store:
- Store information: Shop name, domain, email address, and Shopify plan.
- Product data: Product titles, descriptions, variants, SKUs, prices, images, inventory quantities, and product types.
- Order data: Order line items, quantities, and prices for sales velocity analysis. We do not store customer personal information from orders.
- Inventory data: Inventory levels and location information for stock monitoring.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data exclusively to provide the StockAI service:
- Calculating sales velocity and stockout predictions.
- Generating stock alerts and reorder suggestions.
- Performing ABC inventory classification.
- Creating and managing purchase orders.
- Providing category-level analytics and revenue impact reports.
- Sending notification emails (stock alerts, daily reports) to the store owner.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Your data is only shared in the following limited circumstances:
- Supplier portal: When you choose to share a purchase order with a supplier via the supplier portal, the supplier can view only the specific PO details (product names, SKUs, quantities, and unit costs) you have assigned to them.
- Service providers: We use hosting and infrastructure providers to operate our service. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data transmission.
- Secure authentication via Shopify OAuth.
- Access controls and regular security reviews.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as you have StockAI installed on your Shopify store. Historical sales data is retained for up to 24 months to support seasonal forecasting and trend analysis.
Upon uninstallation, your data will be deleted within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about your store.
- Correction: Request correction of any inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or uninstalling the app.
- Portability: Export your data via the CSV export features within the app.
7. Customer Data
StockAI does not collect or store personal information about your customers. We only process aggregated order line-item data (product, quantity, price) for inventory analysis. We do not access customer names, emails, addresses, or payment information.
8. Cookies
StockAI uses only essential session cookies required for the application to function within the Shopify admin. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics within the embedded app.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date.
